After exploring the caves with the morning we will take you to Koh Tapu, or known as James Bond Island. The limestone rock is about 20 meters tall and the diameter increasing from about 4 meters near the water level and about 8 meters at the top.

The island became very famous after parts of the movie “The man with the golden gun” was filmed here in 1974. James Bond, starred by Roger Moore was sent after Solex Agitator, a device that can harness the power of the sun. The famous scene that was filmed and Koh Tapu is when James Bond meets the bad guy Scaramanga in a duel to settle the fate of the Solex.

Today the island is a very popular attraction, and the cliff’s formation is really amazing. After visiting Koh Tapu we will join the rest of the Sea Cave Canoe group again and have our lunch at the boat, while cruising to Lawa Island. At Lawa Island you will have the chance to try paddling yourself, sunbathing and just relax on the beach.

Sea Cave Canoe

Each canoe takes two persons and one guide. Depending on the tide we will visit a various famous caves and Hongs. The timing to enter the Hongs has to be perfect. Our paddle guides need to carefully study low and hide tide to enter the tunnels exact right time. The canoes will take you in to the tunnels and lagoons, only the noise of the wildlife is heard in here. If you are lucky you might see some crab-eating macaque monkeys, different kinds of birds, sleeping bats and fish life.

Your lunch for the day will be served on the boat, and you can enjoy our Thai buffet while the cruiser slowly goes to Lawa Island. When we reach the island you will get the chance to try paddling by yourself. Or simply just relax under a palm tree on a quiet beach for some sunbathing and enjoy the beautiful views of Phang Nga.
